"My best friend lives in Gilbert, near Chandler, so we went to several free story-times, a free magic show, a free science weekend at local libraries with educational crafts sponsored by a local museum, low-cost aquatic parks, and community events; we also went to the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix (we got in free since we're members here at Santa Ana's Discovery Science Center); we also checked out the Arizona Museum of Youth in Mesa (bigger and better than the Chino Youth Museum) - kids LOVED IT, we could have gone there many more times!! So, the only time we splurged was when I took 2 of the girls to BounceU. I spent less than $50.00 on "activities" for 4 kids (my 2 daughters, ages 1 and 3 and my 2 goddaughters, ages 5 and 7) during an 8 day period. Keep in mind we spent some mornings or afternoons at home playing; but we left once a day to do some type of activity, which made the week go so much smoother and the girls all enjoyed themselves and each other!
 
Many thanks to your sister site (EastValleyParent.com) - I had no idea how many libraries these two communities have, let alone all the community events nearby!
